The International Women of Influence Awards™ were established to recognize women who are changing the way international business is conducted. This year represents the third annual presentation of the awards.

Global EXEC Women will present the International Women of Influence Awards™ – Americas to a slate of women who have been nominated for achievements in their fields. In each award category, there will be at least one winner from each country represented by the nominees.

The awards will be held in October 2008 in Atlanta, Georgia, The United States.

The International Women of Influence Awards™ are an initiative from Global EXEC Women's International Council, which is made up of members of the Consular Corps, trade associations and international chambers. Representatives from Australia, China, England, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Switzerland, Turkey and the United Kingdom sit on the International Council. These dignitaries have committed themselves to promoting the leadership roles executive women play in international business while highlighting market-transforming company brands and organizational initiatives at the global level.

Nomination Criteria:
The nominee must be an executive woman, director level and above.

• The nominee must be employed at her respective company at the time of the award presentation and must be able to attend the event.

• The nominee's company must do business internationally.

• Along with the nomination form, all nominees should submit a biography and a high-resolution, professional color photograph for inclusion in promotional materials.

Award categories are as follows:

• Emerging Company
• Medium Corporation
• Large Corporation

The International Women of Influence Awards™ - Asia will be held in Shanghai, China, Winter 2009.
